Just veggies
I have a cousin that is only eating veggies right now. She is buying the "steam" veggies and she will eat a bag for every meal. That is all she eats all day. I told her that it isn't enough. She needs to eat other things besides just veggies.

That definitely isn't enough. She needs more fat and protein in her diet. Is she planning to do this long term? It's good she's eating so many veggies, but she really should add something else to them to make it a more complete and nutritious meal

Short term it wouldn't be *too* bad, but for more than like, a week, it wouldn't be good for you at all!

How does she not get sick of eating just veggies? That is not enough, also. She needs to add more to her diet, add some meats and fruits, too.

She is just trying to drop a quick "ten pounds". I told her that it is not healthy. She said she did this in college and dropped weight quick. I tried to tell her that metabolism changes as we age.

Oh, dear. That's not just unhealthy, it's dangerous. Our bodies need balanced nutrients, and unless you're taking supplements to cover for them, you can get sick so quickly. I hope she's taking vitamins.

I do wish people would realise that losing weight that quickly isn't healthy and the weight loss won't stay off! Could you maybe suggest slmething like slimming world to her? Most people I know that have done it have had big losses quite quickly and it's so much better for you than just eating steamed veggies!

I have tried diets like this in the past and they only ever work short term. It's almost certain that she will gain the weight back as soon as she starts eating normally again. Tell her to introduce some sort of protein and fat, then she'll be eating healthily.

I love the steam veg bags but with it she needs some chicken and a little carbs, very unhealthy this way imo. Not only will that weight pile back on she is surely feeling ****? Not enough nutrients ... tell her to read up about complex carbs to add to her meals. Sure more veg on the plate is fab but not if it's all that is on your plate.

If she is trying to do a quick weight loss, that is the amount of time the loss is going to last. In my experience, that kind of quick loss ends up coming right back.
She should at least add some eggs, nuts, and beans for protein and some cheese or yogurt for calcium and fat.
