I want to eat healthily as a forever thing so I have decided to change the way I eat and cook, mostly that means less takeaway and microwave meals.

I always do same calorie counting, I find it logical, effective and I lost 15 kg with it 4 years ago, 15 kg again this year (after pregnancy) and have a few more to go.
i choose the most weight lost
I do a lot of research i never do faddy diets endorsed by celebs that make outrageous claims. I have only tried weight watchers and slimming world, both also came recommended by friends. WW wasnt for me but SW is great.
I dont really class what I did when I lost 3stone a diet as such, I counted calories using MFP and lost 3stone. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted in moderation and increased the amounts of veg/fruit. I kept on increasing my activity levels, but didn't over do it.
Due to various factors, I put the weight back on, but using MFP just wasn't working for me, novelty wore off maybe? So decided to join SW for a different approach, and thought the emphasis on eating plenty of food, but the right foods, so not feeling hungry following the plan fit the attitude I have toward "dieting".
need to cater for a vegan
I chose to join the SW plan as it seemed to show better longer lasting results.
Instagram helped me choose Slimming World
I might be alone here, but every change I make I now base on reading research. Thanks to the Internet and sites like Google Scholar, it's easy to search for real scientific experiments that have been performed on various diets, habits, and strategies.
Pretty much everything I'm trying now is stuff I've looked up in medical journals first. I highly recommend it, if you can wade through all the medical-speak!
I google the latest celebrity diet trends a lot because obviously these people are more cautions about their weight so I think they really eat the right things.
