Eye opening stuff! I love how they're showing people how to eat better for less! It's so bloody hard though! It is winding me up how they're all on about needing meat for protein though

It was all right, the chefs cheated and went over the budget they had (chefs had to create a meal based on how much certain benefits claimants had to use for food each day). I liked the idea one of them had of having a shopping aisle just for the supermarket value range, so you didnt have to go hunting for it mixed in with everything else in the store. It was shocking how little they had to live on, and it wasnt like they were using the money to buy other stuff, like pet food or mobiles etc, they just didnt have the money.

It was good, but at the same time made me really sad the people on it had something like £1.14 per person per day for food! And the top chef people really, really struggled to cook meals on that! It took the piss a little though, cos they did a big banquet of cheap food at the end, but cos of the quantities they were making, they could get things cheaper! Like 3 whole chickens for £10, on the budget these people were on, they couldn't afford that! And the more you buy, the cheaper things are.
