Could diet change my skin?

I have changed my diet drastically over the past couple of months. I have noticed that I am getting a greater number of eczema spots on my hands and legs. I wonder if it has something to do with my diet. I wonder if I am lacking something and it is causing my skin to do crazy things!

Hmm...It could be a number of things. My guess is that the winter weather might be drying out your skin. Drinking lots of water is just as important as keeping your skin moisturized. I know mine gets horrible during the winter months!

I thought dieting was meant to make skin better. Could be like poppy said, may be the colder weather. I don't get eczema but do get dry lips and dry patches on my face during the winter. Although lack of water may be partially my problem too

I agree that it's likely the weather, but you could keep a food diary as well. It will help you pinpoint any foods that you eat before the eczema flares up.

My skin improves with all the water I drink, which I should note my skin hasn't been so great because I've not been drinking as much water this last couple of months!

I'm sure I posted a long reply on here earlier! I'm trying cutting out cheese ATM to try and cure my acne! When I start eating healthily, I always seem to eat more cheese! A friend told me the other day that her skin improved so much when she cut it out and it cured a relative's eczema!

I think it probably the cold weather, my hands used to get really bad when my kids were younger and I was pushing a pram cos my hands were always exposed.

It does sound weather related with the weather being harsh at the moment, it can really irritate skin and dry it out. I agree with trying to drink more water as that will hydrate your skin more.

It could be weather related as I know sometimes when I'm washing my hands all day I'll get red spots that look like a rash but it's just dryness! It's cold and dry outside so I gotta remember to put the lotion on.

I'm trying to up the water now, probably 2 pints a day. It's the weather that's not helping (I've just realised how much I use that as an excuse ) but I'm drinking a lot of coffee to keep me warm.
