Kiln dried mackerel syn or no syn,is it the same as smoked

Found my kiln dried mackerel was 11 syns per 250 g

As long as it's not smoked, most plain Mackerel is free. Flavoured can be synned, but there are some tinned flavoured mackerel's that are free, John West is a great one

Thanks, it’s my first weight in tonight and I’m hoping to lose 6lb . No more smoke kiln dried mackerel for me as I didn’t understand syn value.now I’m loving tinned pilchards on my baked potato 😋
