Majorly confused by these. I would ordinarily buy the tesco one but I had an asda one in the cupboard I used. Was expecting to have to syn it but according to the website the asda one is free, whereas the tesco one would have been around 5 syns. Anyone know why this is? May have to pop to asda to stock up on them next time I go to my mum's if they're free.

It's to do with oils and sugars used in the sauces. I'm guessing purely based on syn value you're talking about the teriyaki one? (That's one of my favourites!)
I've also found that the John West ones are all syn free so if you can get those, you're onto another winner I've only found them in Sainsbury's, although admittedly I don't use Asda so I've never looked there.

Ooh, fab. Thank you.

It is indeed the teriyaki one, I just had a nom-tastic jacket sweet potato with a tin of it on.

I love them with rice. My go to snack is a packet of microwaveable rice and a John West Mackerel at best it works out at 2.5 syns depending on the flavour rice I use

Oh I like that idea. That would be a good one for days I can't be bothered to cook ;-)

It is! Although I try to get whatever speed food in I can. Usually some tomatoes and peppers. When I'm at home at least! I have a packet of rice and can of Mackerel in my drawer at work as a failsafe for if I forget my lunch one day
