I was gutted after my second weigh in last night as I only lost 0.5lb after sticking to plan really well! And having extra speed.
So I went over my weekly allowance by 12.5 syns last night!
New week today, but could I still put on, on Tuesday??

Of course you can still lose next week!
One night where you go over your syns won't mean that you're destined not to lose the following week. Not if you get right back on plan the following day.

0.5lbs is still a loss! It may not be as much as you wanted, but it's still a loss.
What sort of things were you eating last week? Did you drink enough water? Did you use any/many syns? Did you find that you ate mostly speed food rather than filling up on protein foods and free foods?

Yes I'm right back on plan this week, should I cut down on my syns this week to make up for last night?
I actually cut down my syns to around 13 and lost less. This week I'm going to drink more water and try to see if it works

Thanks

No. Don't change you syns because of a past 'bad day'
Make sure you change the foods you are eating around as sticking with the same foods means your body becomes placated when it comes to processing them and it doesn't work as hard to process them.
Try to drink 2 litres of water a day, not counting any fizzy drinks.

If you normally use the full 15 syns a day, you must need them, so don't deprive yourself during this next week.

Hi there

Don't beat yourself up, a loss is a loss and it could mean you'll have a bigger loss next weigh in.

Have you thought about perhaps creating a food diary on the forum and writing everything down? It might help other members to give you some advice. I find it helps.

Good luck next weigh in X

Does that mean that eating rice every day for lunch will stop me from losing as much?

I could be wrong (I usually am) but I didn't think you could save syns up,
so there isn't a weekly allowance, only a daily one.

It won't stop you from losing weight, it's just that you should make sure that the rice doesn't fill more than 1/3 of your plate. You should always aim to have at least 1/3 of your plate as speed food. It's he speed food that helps speed up your losses.
Rice/pasta/potatoes won't stop your losses, but if you are having half a plate of those, and only 1/4 speed and 1/4 protein, you won't lose it as quickly.

Does that make sense?

You get up to 15 syns a day, which can be calculated across the week as 105. (Although yes, men do get a higher allowance)
The advice from SW (and my personal experience and witness) is that you should use at least 5 each day. You shouldn't save them all up and use them all in one go, but SW do advise that if you know you will need more on a certain day, then you can 'save' syns up by reducing how many you use every other day. But you've still got that 105 limit for the whole week.
