It can't be. It's only186 cal for whole pack so must be a maximum of 8 syns but hopefully free 😳

If you're going PURELY on calories, it would actually be 9.5syns for that whole pack (20cal = 1syn, but always round up), but it could well contain some free foods that would lower the value. I can't find the product online, but it's most likely the sauce/marinade that contains the calories/syns. BBQ is sweet, which means they've most likely used a fair amount of sugars in it.

It's a shame they don't seem to be on the app. If you're able to post the ingredients list, the syns might be able to be calculated for you.

You can't go on calories for that kind of food as it has a free food in it (chicken)

This is where it gets confusing with SW and calories... you can only use the 20 cals per 1 syn rule for chocolate, crisps, cakes, biscuits, etc. that have absolutely NO free foods in them.
When it comes to things like the pre-packed chicken, like Kay said, it can be down to the marinade etc. that is used.

I can't find it online either to see the info for myself. Can you post a pic of the packet, front and back (all of it)? If you can, I can use the Syns Calculator on the website, but I need to be able to see the full ingredients list, the nutritional information and other bits to work it out.

Well I'm taking it as free or very low sun as every other make of BBQ chicken pieces seem to be free or low syn. Anyway next question. My mother in law is making a lasagne for tea this week and has invited us over to eat. Problem is it will be a full on lasagne when it comes to the cheese sauce. I'm guessing everything else is free in the lasagne but any idea how many syns would likely be in a cheese sauce.
I feel rude saying I can't have lasagne

It would depend on how much cheese sauce she makes. I tend to go overboard when I make it, but I LOVE cheese sauce

Flour is 4 syns per 25g, Milk is 2 syns per 100ml of skimmed and 3 syns per 100ml of semi-skimmed,
This depends on what she uses but margarine averages at 3 syns per tbsp and butter is 5.5 syns per tbsp.

Personally, I never work out the syns for a lasagne, but I don't make them that often, so I allow myself that one meal! I would just load up on speed foods that day, and try to limit syns for anything else.
