Hi my name is Andy and I just found these forum I am 46 years of age and have battled with my weight most of my life, I have like most people done all the diets out there and had a measure of success with them all but then the inevitable happens you put back on what you lost and maybe some on top.
For 15 years + I have also struggled with sometimes debilitating depression and anxiety which doesn't help when trying to lose weight. The most effective thing I ever did was Slimming World, no pills, powder, promises just real food which is a sustainable way to live your life.
So since 2014 I have suffered a Pulmonary Embolism which could have killed me, I have been diagnosed with Stable Angina, I have Sleep Apneoa and Osteoarthritis in my right knee so I am in pretty bad shape but I am still here and I believe that is for a reason.
The reason being to fulfill my journey and to help and inspire others to achieve their goals and dreams too.
I started back to SW about 8 weeks ago spent 2 weeks in hospital during that time, but to date have lost 1 and 1/2 stone which I am really pleased with. I am no longer keeping my depression under the rug instead I am openly talking about it to motivate others to do the same.
I started a YouTube channel where I will be putting out videos to help people on SW, taste tests, cook alongs etc...I post pretty much what I eat on Instagram (andynev70) you can find me on Twitter (andynev70) links to videos on there.
I want to help as many people as I can, answer questions and make suggestions and take inspiration from all the other people out there on their SW journeys so we can all succeed in our journey called life.
My motto is life is always worth living #neverquit
Thanks for reading
Andy
