Hello all!

I joined Slimming world last week and am struggling to get my head around everything due to the fact that I am use to having everything to hand on my phone! Do you know if there are any plans for this to happen?

I love going into supermarkets and having a look at what I can eat but without a handy app its impossible!

You all seem to love the plan and are all doing terrifically so I am hoping some of you can encourage me!

There is a Slimming World app that you shold be able to download. It gives you access to the syns online search option and some recipe ideas, along with other parts of the website.
You can also access the webiste from your phone which fives you the same access as the app, but you've also then got access to the weight loss planner (food diary) too.

I'm surprised you haven't been told by your consultant about the app, they should be promoting it (assuming you go to an actual group that is)
If you do go to an actual group, there are some small books that handy to carry around with you - Low Syn Snacks and Free Foods (branded)
They're slim books, so they go nicely into a handbag. There is a larger Food Directory also, but it's a much thicker book so it's quite a bit heavier. Although it's still really handy!

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I think I have misled you. The Leader is great I have to say but I am surprised there is not much you can do with the App, barcode scanner etc. it seems very long winded to look something up! I will have a look at the books you mention when I go for my weigh in on Wednesday.

I know what you mean about the app - it would be awesome if you could just scan something and it would give you the Syns! It's definitely something they need to look into. If MyFitnessPal can do it, then I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to set up something to work out the Syns from the nutritional info! x
