I keep getting very conflicting syn values for aired popped popcorn- not the prepackaged store ones but using corn kernals and a air popcorn maker. Any insight would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.
Couldn't explain why it's so high. I would assume because it has no positive nutritional value as in it's not like it's one of your five a day, or protein rich, not enough fibre, etc.
I think this was asked on here not long ago. And the answer was that for 25g of air-popped popcorn, you get more pieces compared to 25g of toffee popcorn, because the toffee makes it heavier.
So if you were to syn it on a "per piece" basis, I'd guess there'd be a bigger difference in syns between 20 air-popped pieces and 20 toffee pieces than there is between 25g of each.
