Struggling with lunch time meals & snacking

So i've been doing Slimming World since Tuesday and really getting to grips with the evening meals.

However, I am feeling really hungry during the day. For the last three days i've polished off three 500g tubs of grapes.

I am usually a snacker during work and I could do with some ideas instead of grapes lol.

I also struggle with lunch time meals. Today I nipped to Asda and bough (what I thought was) a healthy salad and ended up wasting 4 syns.

So any tips to get me through a work day and get over the hunger (ideally without using any syns)?

Thanks in advance

How about homemade salads with pasta and some extra light mayonnaise. That'll only use up a couple of syns. Or ainsley harriot cous cous packets are about 1.5. Baked potatoes. As for snacks what about the trusty muller yogurts or swapping your fruit for tubs of pineapple.

I'd recommend adding some carbs to your salad. I buy plain couscous and add different flavours. Pasta is nice with tuna. Or boiled new potatoes and boiled eggs can both be added for free. If you've got a microwave at work how about a pre-cooked jacket potato with baked beans or a filling soup. Or make extra dinner in the evenings and take some next day to reheat. Carrot and cucumber sticks are good for snacking and have less sugar than fruit.

I am a snacker at work as well. I have a few low syn things to snack on such as hifi light bars, wotsits, low calorie hot chocolate that I have when the mood arises.

Also, things like cucumber, peppers and carrots are good (as long as you don't sit near anyone who will ahev to listen to you crunch your way through haha, you could also make your own syn free humus with chickpeas, adding something else to your salad at lunchtime could also be good. A lot of the mug shots that are less than 1% fat are free, I don't personally like them but if you do those are uick and could be eaten at work.

Honestly, I think eating grapes is still much better for you than what you might ahve eaten instead

I struggle with lunchtimes too so am interested to hear what others eat - because of being at work FT I always seem to end up with a sandwich, pasta salad or just a salad! Winters easier because of soups etc but the summer lunches are much more difficult I find!

Iweigh out 150grams of pasta and cook to instructions then stir fry with frylight, chicken, onion, peppers, peas, mushrooms and mange tout, all free. Then add chineese 7spice and chargrilled chicken spice then add chicken stock and thicken with 2tblspns of cornflour and stir in a tub of Low Low HXA. I have the plastic takeaway dishes and use them to divide into five portions for my lunch, hope this helps

Do you have a kettle at work? I empty 2 packets of mug shots chicken noodles into a microwaveable pot, add chopped mushrooms and peppers. Then coat with water same as normal. I then finish up with an apple and a muller light toffee. Very filling, has 3 of your super foods, is syn-free and is actually pretty cheap as well.
