I am still here, although I was off work for a couple of weeks and barely had time to do anything else except eat we were that busy lol. And getting back to wokr has been just as bad lol.
I did fall off the wagon, and rather than just being at my start weight again, I'm now over it (grr to me) but it's my own fault so I can't blame anyone else for anything. My problem is not being in work. When I'm at work I eat a lot better than I do at home. which is annoying because I get to the weekends and something goes horribly wrong and I find the worst possible foods, and we don't even buy that much anymore...

Elen, It's like they want to make sure we aren't starving ourselves lol

Ali, your mum's birthday should be enjoyed, so I think 'writing it off' is probably the best idea. You can let your hair down once in a while and enjoy it Just get straight back on plan the day after

Had a brilliant day yesterday, only slightly marred by a really bad back again. Met some old school friends I haven't seen for over a year for coffee. The weather was gorgeous and we had a stroll round the shops too. Then mum's party went really well and caught up with my 2 sisters and their partners who I haven't seen since March. I won't tell you what I had to eat and drink, that would be cruel!

Sarah - well done coming back and good luck getting back to plan - you know it works so I'm sure you'll soon get down those lbs again

AliCat glad you enjoyed your mums party and meeting old friends. My imagination has you eating wonderful things

I've been working a few extra shifts recently so looking forward to 2 days off - then back for 3 days work.

I've got a job interview on Thursday for a 2nd job - would mean less overtime and less time on my feet if I get it (so hoping I do). lol

Off out tomorrow for breakfast to celebrate my teens results (her request) we've been before and we all enjoy - and never eat lunch! lol
Hubby's car is in the garage for mot tomorrow so fingers x'd no big bill - could do with a bit of financial luck.

Hope you all have a fab Monday.

Good luck with the job interview PJ. Is your jaw feeling better now? I bet you're going to have a lovely breakfast
Sarah, I think being at home is bad because there's always food available. At work, we're too occupied and only have the food we've brought with us. Write it off and start again with a smile!

Hi all! Haven't been here in a while so haven't caught up with everything yet but have read back over the last couple of pages!

It's really difficult when people aren't very supportive, but then to make comments about your weight must make it even worse. Most of my family are quite supportive as a lot of them try their best to eat well anyway. We had a lovely get together at my auntie's house the weekend before last and she cooked some lovely food. Ham, pork, roast potatoes, amazing gravy, stuffing! But loads of roasted veg as well, and everyone could just take whatever they wanted which was good. She's an amazing cook so it was all so delicious. But nobody was putting pressure on anybody to try the bad things, there was something for everybody. Even for my other auntie who is currently doing a detox - for dessert she had sugar free jelly made for her, which is a lot better than the chocolate cake and Victoria sponge on offer - homemade!! (Sorry everyone - I haven't been as kind as AliCat and kept my food intake a secret!)

I do have friends though that aren't very supportive when it comes to healthy eating - which is frustrating because they're stick thin... Although one of my friends eats so well and looks great, especially as she is constantly in the gym! So I know when we decide to eat together it will generally be something healthy.

Good luck with your interview PJ! Got everything crossed for you... I spend every day of my working week preparing people for interviews as I'm a recruitment consultant, so I've got plenty of positive energy in me to send your way!!

xx

Hi all

AliCat - thanks for asking - jaw is lots better. anti-biotics finished and no pain meds, still have a small lump inside my cheek but hoping that settles. I can open it enough for two fingers sideways and a small gap - so lots better than when I left hospital - see the consultant end of September so hoping for more progress before then.

Welcome back Danielle thanks for the positive vibes, much appreciated. I haven't worked in admin / secretarial roles for 7 years now so it's a bit nerve wracking but it's a mental health charity and I've got a diploma in psychology (I was awarded this year) and have been volunteering in the mental health sector so hoping that and secretarial career history will be enough.

I bought a new pair of trousers to go with heels and a blouse - took a 20 into the changing room and an 18... came out with the 18! Was thrilled as my current work trousers have become roomy but are a 22 and they're only 3 months old.

We had a lovely breakfast out - turned out to be a bargain too.. they counted our 16 year old as a child (didn't think that would happen) and children eat free, so for £17.50 we all had enough to be breakfast and lunch (no one was hungry not even my 'always starving' 10 year old). lol

I ate on plan and as I'd worked out before I went so proud of myself, avoided things like fruit juice and croissants. Only one mini muffin at 7 syns (I worked that out before I went). lovely to have a guilt free meal out.

Looking forward to tomorrow nights weigh in.. will stay to group too so be nice to catch up with some of the ladies as not been there fore 3 weeks.

Woohoo PJ!! That must have felt amazing coming away with a size smaller than you expected!
And good luck for the interview

Danielle the food sounds amazing, I love homemade buffets where it's not all sausage rolls and pies (I don't eat them lol)

Works been a bit manic for me, it's enrolment time so we've got a steady influx of new students coming in to sign up this week... At least it keeps me busy!

Had a great week on plan last week, and it's continuing this week too, although it's my birthday Friday and we've booked a table at a restaurant so I don't expect Friday night to be particularly on plan as such, but it's my birthday! If I can't enjoy it what's the point? Lol

Hope you enjoy your birthday on Friday - make sure you are ready for the guilt that comes with the anything goes attitude..

Guilt / anxiety always bites me if I have an all out day (in the past). Even when I was in hospital I came home feeling guilty as I'd had pudding twice in hospital (small portions) and had 2 bars of chocolate! lol Moving forward on plan again is hard for me so had to face that too.

Felt great about the 18's - thanks - I dug out some old jeans from my wardrobe today - size 18's that fit!! felt great to put a pair on I knew didn't fit a couple of months ago. lol I have some more to move down into... and a bag of clothes I wanted to keep but were depressing me in my wardrobe... sizes 16 and 14's..

Looking forward to tonights weigh in. I've started making a small trifle for us all - put it into glass dessert dishes this time - as normally I eat a big bowl of it. So reducing the serving size - also some baked rhubarb from the garden which will be nice. love the sharp/ sweetness of it.

I've been brambling today, got a huge tub of blackberries and some apples too from a tree that grows on a public footpath. I love berries with breakfast or yogurt but it irks me that SW won't allow me to stew some apple and sweetener with them. Part of me thinks it won't hurt as long as it's not all the time!

ooh I must keep an eye out and see if there are pickings to be had near me

We were remembering a bramble cake I used to make years ago - wouldn't be SW friendly mind you. lol My husband tried to repeat the recipe and blended the berries into the cake mixture rather than just adding them before baking... it was like purple slop and he was pretty miffed! lol

On a weigh in night I make stewed rhubarb.. SW version is to use sweetener and oven bake - so less liquid needed. I also have sugar free jelly and custard with sweetener and skimmed milk to make it a trifle, ,I don't syn it as it's weigh in night treat but I do remember working it out and it was do-able in syns. Perhaps this is an option for you once a week? As it gets colder, I plan fruit and custard.. (hot), custard is a favourite of mine.
