Hello

I'm new to the forum and new to slimming world, and i brought myself a new Slow cooker yesterday.

I want to make a stew/ casserole in the slow cooker tonight, can i put sweet potato, leek carrot broccolli and parsnip in the slow cooker with 2 stock cubes and some water. I have a chicken that I have already cooked, do I add this at the start or the end when cooking?

Sorry for the questions I'm working tomorrow and I want to take something I can heat up in the microwave.

Thank you

Veg wise sounds good I add the chicken at the start although it will go more stringy if using leftover chicken it still tastes as nice or depending what I'm doing on a 4 hours slow cook I'll add 2 hours in

I also sometimes use 1 chicken and 1 veg stock.

I love my slow cooker, you won't regret it! Welcome to Social Slimmers DP

Hi and welcome to Social Slimmers!

I put the chicken in at the start and it's nice and tender by the end of slow cooking

i love my slow cooker.

not started slimming world yet but know about syns. most of my recipes are probably syn free anyway. my fav at the moment is buying the packs of pre cut and washed winter veg and thowing in some potato, braising steak and stock i sometimes even do a slow cooked whole chicken. will have to dig out my curry book and post some recipes. went through a phase of making different types of curries which i'm sure would be low syn or syn free

My slow cooker is my best friend. I do almost everything in it, even jacket spuds.
