Hi guys! I'm also a Monday weigher and didn't spot this thread yesterday.

I maintained yesterday and was pretty disappointed. I had one bad night on Friday but I still kept to slimline tonic and ate no extra food so I thought I might still have a loss.

I lost 4.5lbs in my first week. I know I need to look at a month overall but it's hard to do that when you haven't lose anything one week

Well done finding the thread, it's nice to follow those you weigh in with on the same day.

You did great last week so I'm sure you will do so again this week

HevJ, I've just had a look at your diary, and you said in your first week you were only about 80% on plan. This could be the reason that you didn't have a loss this week.

I find that If I'm not on plan completely one week, it doesn't always show on the WI straight after that 'not completely on plan' week. It's usually the week after. I know a few others like this in my group.
So even though you didn't lose anything this week, it could be because of the previous week (I'm hoping that makes sense lol)

Keep at it this week, and I'm sure you'll see a good loss next week

Thanks Sarah. That may be the case. I really struggle with the idea of not losing if I have a night out. I've just moved to a new area and new job and I don't know anybody so its hard to say no to meals out (that was the 20%) and its not something I feel comfortable about yet. Will have to get used to it, I guess

I know what you mean, some people don't understand that some of us can't eat everything in sight and not put an ounce on, some of us have to keep an eye on these things, but you're not on your own, there's lots of us here to help and support

When you go for meals out, just try to be smarter with your meal choices. E.g. if there is a chicken breast and veg with potatoes option, pick something like that over the burger and fries. Or if it's pasta, go for something like the arrabiatta rather than the carbonara or lasagne. Curries - go for the tomato based dishes rather than the really creamy ones (korma, tikka masala, etc) They can adjust the spice to your taste if you ask them. They may also cook it without using Ghee if you ask (some places call it the 'Healthy Option'). Ghee is clarified butter which they put in all curries. Asking them not to use it could save you about 6 syns, if not more (depending on how much they use) Chinese - Black Bean is a lower synned sauce, and if you ask for boiled rice rather than egg fried, you save youself heaps of syns.

I have made some lengthy posts about this somewhere on here (I'm good at rambling when I get chance ). I'll see if I can find them and create a new thread, but eating out is always possible, we just need to be smarter with choices

Thanks. That's really helpful. Was researching pizza express options for a meal out next week. I'll be driving then so wont need to worry about alcohol syns

That's tomorrow so I guess I will be in for another very small loss next week (if anything) as that is how it seems to be working for me!
