Looby and Purple, I think your words echo what many people are thinking. I think with support from group and people on here, we will achieve our goals and although the maintaining will be a struggle. We are going to start off next year healthier than we were the year before. As you've said Purple, it's a lifestyle change not a fab diet and as Looby said, we will be doing is for many years to come.

Thanks Purple. I lost 1.5lb tonight; I needed two for my target and for my four and a half stone award. It painfully flickered between 9St 10 and 9st 10.5! (and is already been for a wee! Lol!)

If it's a gain, then at least you had a lovely reason for it! I had lots of cake on my daughter's birthday.

Well done! that is so frustrating about the half lb but hey another loo trip and you're there! lol

I gained 3lb tonight.. yo-yo it would see, I was shocked by 3lb last week so thinking it wasn't 'real' and my eating off plan this weekend hasn't helped. Also I had something to eat and drink before weigh in when normally I don't eat after 2pm or drink after 4pm. lol

So.. whatever - it'll come off again and back on plan already

Purple, tour positive attitude will see that gain off it no time! Plus, as you've said you were out of routine so perhaps a bit of that gain was just "surface gain" from what you ate and drank today.

You'll defo got your award next week and I'll be chasing my 2 and a half stone before xmas I am really trying to look at the bigger picture, this is a blip that I knew would likely happen as I know that celebrations are a big thing for us, and involve food - that won't change just need to keep going afterwards! So it's back to it and need to get ready for another birthday a month today, followed by a work xmas meal out... oh you can hear the scales getting ready for another gain that week. lol I might even book a holiday but i'm not sure whether that is wise.

Have not been drinking water as it's been so cold either so need to address that, maybe get some herbal tea so less milk being used. I don't measure my milk as I'm veggie and figure it's good for me - have never measured it from the start. I don't drink it other than in my cereal in the morning and with tea.

So.. a few tweaks and I'll be on track again.
