Okay ladies, I'm debating with myself with investing in a slow cooker, the ladies at my class rave on about them and i do tend to have a busy Monday and Tuesday each week and end up cooking later on which isnt very good.

Anyone else use a Slow Cooker and can give an insight to this please.

Many thanks

I do love a slow cooker. They're cracking for throwing things in before you go to work and walking in afterwards to the smells of a casserole cooked and waiting to be eaten is fabulous!
Plus it basically means you can eat as soon as you walk in, which is ideal if you're really busy!

I love my slow cooker not only for convenience but it also brings the flavours out especially in spicy foods or recipes with herbs. I'd not be without it.

Jacket potatoes wrapped in foil are delicious, put them on top of a gammon joint with mushrooms onions.

Yep, agree with the others. Get a slow cooker. I love mine. Just remember to switch it on to let it heat up before you add the food.

That's not something I've heard before... we've seated meat in ours and then put it on the slow cooker device (our slow cooker pot can be used on the hob too) but for most things we just start with it cold. I'm still alive so it can't do any harm

I mostly love my slow cooker in winter for casseroles/stews.

I've never heated it up first

I love my slow cooker! It's great for stews and casseroles. I make jacket potatoes in mine most days.

Hi Bevziibubble. How do you do your jacket potatoes in the slow cooker?

I just put them in without water and cook on low for 3 hours
