I never microwave my lunch...or microwave anything

I stopped using microwaves about five years ago. I read all about how microwaves were dangerous to stand by and look into while operating. I figured, why would I put my food in one of these machines and then scoop it right into my mouth only seconds after it was in the machine? So, I tend to eat raw foods for lunch that do not require cooking. I bought a popcorn maker so that I can still eat popcorn! Am I the only one who doesn't use microwaves?

I don't see any problem with using a microwave and the only issue someone would have standing next to one is if they have a pacemaker.

I am thankful for my microwave especially in the summer when it's too hot to stand over the stove.

I never microwave either, I'm not entirely sure why, it just doesn't sit very well with me! Even if I'm making a hot chocolate I'll warm the milk on the hob!

I use my microwave for warming things up and for cooking whole potatoes, steaming vegetables, and frozen meals. I'm not worried about it since I've been practically using it my entire life.

Well, I did a little more research and found out that a lot of people think that microwaves are bad for our health.

I use the microwave, but I've become paranoid about heating up any food that's in contact with plastic. So I always put the food in a ceramic dish and cover with another dish, rather than plastic.

Yes, but you could be slowly poisoning your body and not even know it. Microwaves may in fact contribute towards cancer development over the long haul. Do you stand in front of the microwave when you use it? If not, why not?

No, usually because I'm being super woman at the same time... Cleaning the sides, dishes, pulling the kids apart etc not often I'm ever stood still although I'm sure I'd be bored like waiting on the kettle boil if I stood infront of it?

It's not something that concerns me any way
