I have been thinking about trying this for a while now but the local store is having a horrible time with their produce. Can you purchase most fruits frozen? I am wondering if it would still taste the same for a shake.

Berries and things you can get frozen and apparently don't make any difference in shakes! I dunno about other fruits though!

Can you buy other fruit frozen? Maybe the likes of mango & pineapple?

I'd love to make them but I really need a blender first!

I'm sure I've seen frozen mango actually! Fruit's quite a tricky one to freeze cos of it's high water content, it tends to go all mushy when you defrost it!

We are having a huge issue with produce in our area lately and I am not sure if the good trucks are running behind but the pickings are pretty slim. The last time I went to our (preferred) store I had to actually complain because the produce area was so nasty it made me sick to my stomach.

I know I've seen frozen blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, mango, cherries, and pineapple. There are some with a medley of the aforementioned fruits. Not much variety, but at least you know it's there when you want it.

I love frozen fruit in a smoothie, and when Tesco run their '2 for 1' offer I stock up on whatever they have in. My blender isn't good enough to cope with the fruit unless it's defrosted a bit, but it's no hardship to pop some into a Tupperware for an hour or two.

I made a shake with frozen mangoes and strawberries and agave syrup and plain yogurt. It was absolutely delicious, and so easy with only four ingredients. I actually prefer the frozen mangoes because I don't like the mess of peeling fresh ones. I am lazy.
