Fruit in shakes
For me I can not enjoy a shake if there is not fruit in it, my favorite being strawberries of course. Is anyone else like this or are you okay without chunks of fruit?
I haven't made shakes for a while but I used to like having kiwi in mine as I loved the crunch that the seeds gave it.
Sunflower seeds are fun when it comes to shakes. The first time I did this the kids thought I was crazy and then of course they wanted to experiment with anything in the pantry. One day we had peanuts, cashews and almond shakes.
I'm with you Avidian, I love to have fruit in my shakes. I hate when you order one and there is no fruit in there! After you start eating healthy for a while, you'll crave those fresh fruits and vegetables.
I love strawberry shakes that have the chunks in them, and this might sound gross to some people, but I also like to make vanilla shakes and add strawberry chunks. I don't do this often though because I know how fattening shakes can be if not consumed in moderation.
I just want to work on making shakes even as a snack in a healthy way. I need to head out to the store later today and grab some more fruits since I am running low. I can not believe how quick they go in this house either. If you asked me years ago to shop in the produce area of the store I would have just laughed at you.
