What Happens on the SW Plan When You Reach Target?

Now that I've broken into the 11st range (finally!), I'm assessing all of my current milestones and getting plans in place for the future when I need them.

So, as an SW gal that doesn't go to group (or get the free lifetime target membership--though maybe I should swallow that tenner re-joining fee, keep my progress and go in there and get all my progress and target stickers at once haha), are there any changes to the plan that happen when you hit target?

I understand that target members stay on plan but have a second Healthy B choice each day? Is there any change in the daily syn allocation?

I think I also need to find out what happens next.

I attend the Clare group and last night reached my target, in fact passing it by 3lb.
I've now lost 2st 5lb since 20th Oct and wonder if I should have set the bar a little higher.
It seems a shame to stop now I'm on a roll. I'll see what I can find out.

OK, it goes something like this.

You struggle through Christmas and congratulate yourself that you only put on 1.5 lbs.
Then you struggle even more through the New Year (HNY btw) and lose the 1.5 lbs that you've just put on.

Then just as your still flushed with the spirit of the season some bright spark suggests you should adjust your target by another stone 'cause it wasn't high enough in the first place.
Damn, damn and double damn.

You crack me up! Thanks for the info, and many congratulations on hitting target! Perhaps you should drop it a little, given how quickly you hit this first one. But hey, if you're happy and comfortable with staying at your original target, then you stay right there. Only you can know what's right for you

I've set a new target now of 14st , down from 15st .

Just as I promised myself a mince pie for Christmas I've promised myself a Cadbury's Cream Egg for when I reach the new target.

Roll on some better weather so I can get out on my bike.

Cheers

I've just noticed this thread...

SW advise this when it comes to reaching target:

Continue to follow the principles of Food Optimising. That means continuing to make Free Food the main part of what you eat, making at least a third of your plate Speed Free Food. Choose Free foods as snacks between meals too.
If you find you’re still losing weight, we recommend you increase your Healthy Extras slowly – and it’s vital to remember that most of what you eat should still be Free food (with at least a third of a plate filled with Speed Free Foods).
Increase your Syns with great care. And if you do, we recommend you increase them slightly on a daily basis rather than allowing yourself a bit of a blow-out at weekends – the high-Syn weekend can easily lead you back to the habits you’ve worked so hard to move away from.

Reading that, I would say that you could increase to 2 hex B choices each day, but if you start to gain (and you're good everywhere else on plan) maybe don't have 2 hex B choices every day?

EXACTLY sarah.

When I reached target (8 stone down) I asked our group leader how it works now and thought I could up my intake of say cheese (which I love) or nuts (which I love too) and she said yes, up them. And then she said, sadly what most peeps do is up their intake of the stuff that landed them at overweight. And when you think about it, it is prob true.

Cadbury's Cream Eggs are vastly overrated.

When I gave them up they weighed about a kilo each. Now the wrapper weighs more than the egg does.

I reached my target last Saturday.

I haven't been told about having an extra HEB

Got my booklet in group and I haven't seen anything in there.
