Smoking and Lung Disease

For many years I worked in a cigarette manufacturing company where as a management staff, I was entitled to two free bundles of 12 pack cigarettes each week. I became a chain smoker until my father, who was also a chain smoker, was diagnosed with advanced emphysema. His lungs had hardened to such a stage he could hardly breathe. He died soon after. His death shocked me so much, I immediately quit smoking.

That's scary! My grandfather had emphysema as well, and he died from it. Watching him go through that was what convinced me to quit, too. It was a struggle for many years, but I've finally made it past the six month mark. Here's to many years of being quit!

Congrats Poppy for quitting smoking on time; for all those still struggling to quit, I encourage you with the immortal words of the Classical poet Virgil: "Possum Estes Possuit" (They are able because they believe they are able)
I kept on smoking for about 11 years until I started to experience health issues. It's more like slow poisoning. I regret my decision to start it and it's kinda difficult to quit.
It’s great to hear people are quitting smoking habit because of own personal reason.
Obviously, smoking is really bad for you.
It causes many health issues such as:
• Heart disease
• Lung cancer
• Empyhsemia
• Impotence
• And many statistics”
But naturally you are correct when you say: “the risks are enormous” – they far outweigh the advantages, and those advantages, mostly come from nicotine, which can be get in much safer ways than smoking.
Oh guys. I can`t quit. I dont know, i`m trying too, but i cant...
Some help?
