Where to start with hand weights?
I would like to just start doing some simple strength exercises at home, but am unsure where to start. Ideally, I would like a book or chart with pictures, I think. Do you have any suggestions?

Befit
most the health magazines usually have great small workouts with hands weight etc
I would start with some easy isometric exercises. I like YouTube for this very reason. So many fitness trainers are on there, giving out free information. Then, if you like them you can subscribe to their channel, and email list to keep up!

I don't know why I never think of YouTube. That is a great idea! Do you have anyone in particular that you like to follow? What search terms should I use?
- Shoulder presses - standing hold dumbbells with arms bent dumbbells at ear levels, palms forward, raise up (arms straights high) and down again.
- Not sure what it's called but you hold the weights in front of you and punch out one after other and so on
- Weights with squats - Squat, weights at side (arms down straight)
- Stack some pillows against a wall, lean on them at slight angle, arms out, palms in, slight bend in arms extend out to the side and back in.
I do these occasionally
I got them from womans health magazine. I must subscribe to that again.
