Hi folks, haven't been around much recently, been sp busy with work, family visiting etc!

Feel embarrassed to say but I've put 2lb on over the past 2weeks (+1 last week, +1 this week on unofficial weigh in) and I'm struggling with binge urges again. I managed to resist on wednesday but didnt yesterdat and ate a ridiculous amount. Nobody knows about my struggles with bingeing and as of yet I have no plans to share because I'm too embarrassed.

I've been the gym 3 times but still gained a pound, even though official weigh in should be tomorrow.

Dont really know why I'm posting really, just need encouragement to keep on track. I'm off work this weekend for a long weekend so can't imagine I'll be very good, but after that I seriously gotta knuckle down

I have bouts of bingeing (sp). It's really hard to keep it under control. I really like food and don't give a crap when I get into the snack cupboard, but then feel really shit afterwards when I know I've just undone the last weeks worth of being good The only way I've found that helps is to find something that you really like that is the lesser of two evils and always keep a supply. I've done it with ham and salad tortilla wraps. It's like 150 cals per wrap, 50 cals for ham and next to nothing on salad (I bulk it up with anything I have from lettuce, cucumber to grated carrot and jalapenos), maybe a squeeze of light mayo at 30 cals . 2 big wraps are less than a big bag or doritos, which I'd usually go through, and so much more filling

Are you bingeing because you are over doing it on cutting down, too much too fast on the days you're being good?

You can do it

Just posted in your journal, but sending you lots of hugs Hun xx don't feel embarrassed about it, or stress too much about your weight gain - it's a marathon not a sprint, you'll get there hun xx

Everyone struggles sometimes. I would not beat yourself up over a pound or two. That actually contributes to the binge cycle, I believe. Really commit to doing the best for yourself, and don't give in to the temptation to write off the long weekend. You don't have to backslide, especially if you plan how you are going to combat it in advance.
