Is quinoa a good replacement for rice?

Anyone any thoughts please?

Its an awesome replacement for most things. One of the best nutritional non meat proteins available packed with amino acids. So naturally it tastes of sludge. It seriously takes a lot of effort to make this superfood 'nice'. However can be adapted to both sweet and savory. I have had it as a porridge with vanilla rice milk, cinnamon and a lot of imagination. And as a side similar to couscous cooked in bouillon with mixed roasted veg and herbs chopped in. Whatever you use it in make sure to re hydrate or cook it in strongly flavored liquid. It is possible to slip small amounts in soups and stews as a thickener without being too noticeable.

i cook a lot with quinoa and bulgur ...instead of using water to cook them with i usually use chicken broth or a veggie ones . I also mix it with a lots of grills veggies and grill chicken if you like drizzle with a glaze of balsamic vinegar and its delicious

you can eat it as a side dish a main meal or a salad very versatile grain .
