I did some research and found that bananas make the ideal healthy ice cream. You chop a few up, freeze them for two hours and then blend well. I tried this yesterday and the texture is just like ice cream and it is so sweet and yummy! I am hooked!

Sounds a fab idea! I love sauce over my icecream being the only problem lol

Someone mentioned this to me recently .... I too would prefer some sauce over it while justifying it because the ice cream is banana moderation and all that

A really nice ice cream substitute is blending a couple of handfuls of frozen raspberries with 1 banana, then eat straight away, it is like a creamier version of raspberry sorbet and absolutely delicious.

This thread has just reminded me I have one of these in my freezer. Been in their since I bought it and I haven't used it.
Oh well it will be ready for use now.

1. Freeze inner bowl for 12+ hours
2. Pour in 5 fl. oz. of chilled ice cream mix
3. Stir, scrape, and add toppings once the ice cream begins to form
4. Use silicone edge of bowl to clean spoon while making ice cream
5. For hard ice cream put unit back in freezer for 10-20 additional minutes after soft serve has formed
