Greek or regular yogurt?

Some brands of Greek yogurt taste too sour to me so I use those in salad dressing and for other recipes as a substitute for sour cream. Greek yogurt is good on jacket potatoes. Adding fruit makes it more palatable to me too.

For breakfast or snacking, I like the regular type of yogurt. Vanilla is good with a little bit of cereal mixed in to give it some crunch.

I got Greek yogurt for my 'clean eating' and then got told it's meant to be full fat natural yogurt no low calorie yogurt but full fat natural yogurt. I'll be adding fresh fruit to mine in blender

I agree that the more natural the foods are, the better our bodies can process them.

I love yogurt blended with fruit, a dash of milk, and a couple ice cubes. I have one of those Magic Bullets and it whips up pretty decent smoothies.

I can't eat Greek yogurt all by itself. It has to have some kind of sweetener. I usually add a teaspoon of agave syrup and some fruit for it to be sweet enough. It works pretty well for me!

I like strawberry Greek yogurt, but that's it. All the other flavors leave an odd aftertaste; does anyone else notice that? I still like regular low-fat yogurt better, especially with some loose granola thrown in.

Yes, I agree that it has a more sour taste. That's why I keep some around for planning out my meals. I use the Greek yogurt in recipes. I try to keep some of both kinds on hand. I don't plan my meals around the yogurt but I use it in a lot of dishes.

Can you use it in a similar fashion to sour cream? Which dishes does it work best in? I know I can bake with sour cream, but I'm not sure if yogurt would hold up quite as well.
