Radishes

I've been eating a lot of radishes lately. There was a large bag of them on sale last time I shopped so I bought them. They are the mild kind with just a little peppery taste to them.

I threw some chopped radish into my stir fry and it was good. I'm also eating them sliced with hummus. I'm going to try slicing them really thin and baking them to see if they will get crispy like chips. I'm not sure if that will work yet.

I haven't had radishes in years. I'm not keen on them on their own but it does sound like they will be good in a stir fry or hummus like you tried them

You will have to let us know how it goes if you decide to baking them into chips!

I love radishes in salads. I never would have thought to try them in a stir fry, but now that you mention it, that sounds brilliant. Could be a great complement to carrots.

I like to put the canned water chestnuts in stir fry so I think radish would give the same type of texture but with some flavor. Water chestnuts don't really add flavor, just some crunchiness.

My aunt is a huge fan of radishes. She makes those pretty rose decorations with them.

I like radishes but my friend used to eat them plain on a plate with vinegar! I couldn't do that unless it's in a salad. I know that they are really good for you though.

That made me wonder about pickled radishes. That might not be too bad. I don't eat too many pickled cucumbers but I do like the pickled vegetable mixes and peppers. Not sure about just eating it plain with regular vinegar, though. Sounds way too sour and strong for me!
