When do u take your protein?

I've started having it straight after my workouts but wondered if there's be much benefit to me taking it before as well? I know it can give you more energy and power that way...does anyone take two doses?

I wouldn't have thought there was much benefit to taking it before as well at your stage hun! I hope that doesn't come across wrong IMO the double dose would be more beneficial for hardcore weightlifting types or like footballers iykwim?xx

Hahah nooo i totally get what u mean! I thought that actually, i dont think i'm doing enough either really to take it twice. I only just feel as if i'm doin enough to take it afterwards!!

I was so worried it would come across really wrong when I was doing insanity I'd make a peanut butter milkshake after for a protein hit, but only cos I was totally drained after it! With normal exercise I don't bother cos I just dont feel like I need it! I used to work with a guy who had a degree in sport science/nutrition or something and he said there wasn't actually anything proven about needing extra protein after a workout unless you're body building or something!

More benefits after I sometimes do before but thats because I was meal replacing now and then. Need to do that again x
