Hi everyone!

I'm thinking of buying myself a fitbit they look really good and I see a lot of other people on slimming world use them too...but as I don't know much about them I was wondering if you could share some pros and cons? Are they worth the money?
Thanks!

I've got a Fitbit zip and I really like it. I did have the one you wear on your wrist but I prefer the zip as you can see clearly how many steps you've done although it is just another fancy pedometer !!

I recently weighed up the options. I chose to get a Garmin 220 watch for running. It doesn't count steps all day like a fit bit. I can't wear a watch / rubber strap without skin inflammation after a while - so the watch gives me a chance to take off my watch and leave my skin heal. Also it measures my runs into miles or Km's and tracks online similar to fitbit.

one thing you have to allow for is margin of error.. there was a programme recently about GPS / step counters etc, and they were tested to show they vary and aren't 100% accurate, this is expected really when you think of the price we pay I think but not everyone would agree I guess.

Garmin is supposed to be the forerunner (couldn't resist sorry!&#128518 in GPS/ trackers. I'm not a runner these days so the Fitbit seemed fit for purpose ( there I go again!!) 😆

In all honesty I will probably sell mine later on but it's a handy little gadget, like you say, there's margin for error and I'm sure like other gadgets before them, these will evolve
