Calorie amounts for meals?

Hi there, I was just wondering what everyone thinks about the amount of calories that are optimal for certain meals? Like Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I generally find that if I'm not counting calories, dinner especially can get to 800-1000 which is just too much. Generally I try for about:

250-450 for breakfast
500-ish for breakfast
500-ish for dinner

That adds up to 1250-1450, and my calorie goal atm per day is 1600-1850 so it leaves me some wiggle room for going over or needing any snacks if I get hungry.

Those calories for meals are largely unconsciosu though, not necessarily planned. That's why I'm curious what others do. Also if any of you have certain macros like.. I mean, I try to make half my meals veg, anything like that?
