What carb food do you miss the most?
When I eat low carb, (which I tend to turn to every couple months) I miss bread. Not sliced bread but good bread. I love the bread at Salt Grass and could eat my weight in it-- which is probably the reason I need to low carb diet!
I really miss bread and potatoes both. I ate a lot of sandwiches before I started dieting. When I did cook, it wasn't a meal without meat and potatoes.
I've never stopped taking carbs. I've just reduced my intake in terms of portion sizes. I tried stopping for three weeks and it was a disaster for me. Less carbs and lower sugar intake is working for me.
Cutting back on bread and crackers is a real challenge for me. I can have a low calorie dip scooped up with a carrot stick or a slice of green pepper, and it is delicious. However, for my third scoop I crave a cracker!

I agree with you about slimming world giving the red light to eat as much as you want of certain foods. It doesn't make sense to me. From reading your posts I know you've followed the sw diet so I'm just wondering what you did to speed up the weight loss? I struggle with my weight and want to see faster results then an 8lbs weight loss over a period of 4 months
I would be happy to lose 2lbs a week though
I lost 2-4lbs a week at first on SW. I followed most of their rules apart from unlimited potatoes, pasta and rice, I limited. I made a few other changes:
Lurpak lightest
Less coffee
Used sweetener
I swear by green tea (I have it with a slice of lemon and 1 sweetener)
I had salad every second day
I reduced red meat to once/twice a week
I had 3 meals a day
Ate dinner earlier (5-6 rather than anywhere from 7-9)
I turned to calorie counting and at some point I hit a plateau so I upped my red meat and started losing again.
I've hit plateau again
and atm not sure what to do, I stopped eating breakfast again so today I started with a small portion of bran flakes... I was sometimes skipping lunch again unless I went to the gym when I would have chilli scrambled eggs when I got back but I am back on the protein shakes today for lunch/after the gym

Bread, battered fish and lasagna
Oh, for me it's Gnocchi pasta! If you ever have it made fresh from an Italian restaurant, then you will not want to leave that place. I have to pull myself away from walking into these places!
I miss chips. I also miss frying potatoes. There were so many satisfying things I could do with potatoes. I miss greasy french fries. I loved eating french fries.
