I miss eating pasta. I still have it once in awhile but I really try to limit it now. I also miss bread. I've been trying to stick to whole grain bread when I do have it but I just don't like it as much.

That's why I had to stop making my own bread I thought it'd be cheaper, but it was a total false economy cos I'd eat half a loaf as soon as it came out the oven

When I am eating low carb, I miss fresh baked bread. It doesn't matter what kind of bread, I just love bread. My favorite unhealthy breakfast is a cup of coffee and a fresh baked buttered roll or slice of bread.

I'm not a big sandwich-eater, but I'll agree with you all that warm bread oozing with butter is just so gorgeous. *mouth waters at the thought*
On the subject of chips *mouth waters again* - which kind are higher in calories/fat, the big fat ones or the thin little scratchy ones? I always thought the scratchy ones, because the ratio of cooking oil to potato is higher, whereas on a fat chip, the oil is spread out over more potato. But hubby points out that because a fat chip has more potato, therefore that must be worse. Any thoughts?

I'd say the skinny ones are worse for you cos of the fat/potato ratio! Apparently deep pan pizza is better for you than thin crust cos of the topping/base ratio. I'd have assumed it would be the other way round!

I may have to check the cupboards for yeast! I'm sure the small one would love helping me make bread! And all the kneading's got to count as arm exercise
