Working my way down...

Well, I've been steadily working my calories down since learning that I probably shouldn't be eating back the calories that my heart rate monitor says I'm burning during workouts. I was eating about 2500 calories a day because my heart rate monitor says I burn roughly 1000 during workouts. Now I've worked my way down to roughly 2000 a day with intentions of working it down to 1750 over the next couple of weeks. I haven't weighed yet to see if it's made a difference already, but I'm not noticing the minus 500 calories, so no harm/no foul.

That's actually not a bad idea. I guess if you gradually lower calories (and carbs for that matter) your body doesn't notice so much. It's the crash diet that always kills me

Fingers crossed from me too. Let us know how you got on once you've weighted

What type of workouts were you doing to burn 1000 cals according to the HRM?

Good idea to work down the calories slowly! Is 1750 too low for you though? That sounds like a really low number of calories through the day. Is it aligned with the calories for your BMI or height weight scale?

I've never eaten back my calories intentionally, I've always stayed within but didn't bother if I tipped over my max (not including calories burnt) ... and weekends when I'm naughty if I eat them back then I don't feel bad but as a rule I don't
