Staying on track while traveling

I don't know about you guys, but I have a terrible time trying to stick to a diet while I'm on the road. Sit down restaurants are out, but fast food isn't really an option either. This time around, we packed a cooler full of things we can eat, but it still gets tiring.

How about you guys? What helps you stay on your diet while traveling?

Are you UK poppy?

I've been thinking about this and on traveling there is always the grocery stores who do salad bars or meal deals that include salads. I know sainsburys do a salad bowl, bottle of water and a fruit bag for £3 for example

What I like to do is bring snacks and things along. Last time I filled up plastic zipper bags with a mix of cereal, raisins and nuts. It kept me from getting too hungry on the road and then going crazy and failing completely.

Even fast food places usually have at least one or two items that are not too bad. Their salads can be deceptive and sometimes even higher in calories than a burger. Plan ahead. If you go to the fast food places websites, you can get a list of the calories and nutrients in the food and know what to get in advance.

I like Wobbles idea because those salads would be healthier and better for you.

I am at my worst when it comes to eating while on a trip. Something in my brain flicks to, "It's OK to become a sloth because I am vacationing," though I know I should to some degree watch what I am eating.

I never drive far enough to need snacks on the way.....but when I'm on holiday in general I suck with my diet!! Especially all-inclusive deals where you need to get your money's worth 😐

Holiday/long trip - is the worst diet killer;-)) I try to take fruits, veggies, nuts, yog with me as a snack. If it's vacation i choose seafood/fish/chicken and salads at the cafes/restaurants. No burgers, hot dogs, McDonalds, KFC etc/ NO NO NO;-))
