Couldn't resist!

OK, I expect that I'm not alone in this but, having children who receive lots of chocolate Easter eggs and bunnies over the holiday weekend has been so much temptation, that I succumbed and ate a whole chocolate egg! I now feel sick!

Isn't that true? When i have been eating really clean, I find that junk food makes me sick after I eat it. I went years without eating a certain chain restaurant fast food's burgers and the first time I did, I actually threw up. A pretty good sign that my body didn't like it!

I just posted on another thread saying I'd eaten 2 malteasers bar and half an egg by 8am yesterday if the chocolate's there, I'll eat it! And I don't usually eat much chocolate!

I feel better today and the good thing is that I had eaten too much after only one chocolate egg whereas, in the past, I could have wolfed down two or three without a problem. As some of you have pointed out, your body learns what is good for it and what is not!

A funny thing happens at Easter in this house: That silly bunny no longer leaves behind candy I like. I like only dark chocolate, so he leaves behind milk chocolate.

I'm infinitely grateful he no longer drops jelly beans; I'd be done for!

My lovely step sister made an easter "bark" of mini-marshmallows on white chocolate, plus the nephew had birthday cupcakes. I think I am good on the sweets for months.... or until I see them again.
