Who remembers wearing leotards to work out? What were we thinking?
Leotards and matching headbands and leg warmers. Now I just wear yoga pants or sweat pants with a tank top or t-shirt.

I've never worn a leotard for working out but I wore one for PE at school when I was about 9 in the 1990s

A blast from the past. Maybe the more mature (not old!) ladies here will remember Olivia Newton John and her innuendo laden "Let's Get Physical" video. Leotards and headbands. Oh, my. I'm glad that style is GONE.

Ugh when we were in high school we had to wear black shiny leotards and leggings for dance! They were bloody awful especially when you were going thru puberty and body conscious!

I did not wear them but I know many who have. I just do not think I could really move in them no matter what my weight was and still feel normal about it. Something that tight is just not for me.

It just is not a good idea to have people that are trying to lose weight squeeze themselves into tight polyester that shows every dimple and then ask them to jump around in front of others. It is a wonder that anyone even showed up at the gym and put themselves through that.

I still have one of my legwarmers and my kids keep asking what on earth I used them for.
I remember feeling really good in those leotards even though I was just a little girl. My mum had the Jane Fonda workout double LP record which came with the instruction sheet with drawings of the moves. Fashion, exercise moves and technology have surely come a long way.
