Crochet
I can knit but I want to crochet. Anyone got a quick and easy way to learn how to? I can make a chain but them I don't know how to make it into something. I would really love to crochet a blanket.

I read that title as the game you hit a ball with a mallet through hoops
I can make a chain too My daughter can do a kinda crochet type thing. She has a kids set with reallly big wool and she makes stuff like you would with loom-bands.

Bother, I tried to post you a youtube link, but I can't post links yet. There are some good ones there. Good luck, granny squares / afghans are a good start. I crotchet a bit, only beanie type hats and scarves in triple treble, they grow so quickly compared to knitting, I love it.

It's not too hard. YouTube the videos. The only thing you have to bear in mind is that there is a difference between UK ans US pattern terms. Their single crochet is our double etc. What you are probably going to learn online will mostly be American but patterns can be either but again if you've found it online like at Ravelry it will probably be American. Just learn the stitches first though.

My son is like that, he used to sit there sucking his teeth if he watched too closely. Didn't mind wearing the jumpers though.
