I'd love to grow my own fruit & veg (well, the odd couple of bits I do like ) but I'd probably end up killing them before they've made any! I tried asking my dad to grow them in his garden but I got no reply

My dad started our beans off in his summerhouse and then planted them on in our garden for us! He's properly green fingered, I just attempt to grow things and then kill them

Our runnerbeans are flowering now and we've got about 5 peppers through and loads of tomatoes!

I got one of those small plastic 'greenhouses' you can just lean against a wall or fence. I grew tomatoes in those grow bag things, chillis and a few herbs in small pots. Was so nice being able to pop outside grab some fresh produce and knock up a quick pasta sauce. Amazing how much food you can get from such a small space. At the moment have two blueberry bushes if they have survived the winter but am hoping to put small containers in my conservatory and grow a few bits.

I have been thinking about this recently ... it won't be this year but I'd love to grow a couple of things with the girls next year.

Mine all died over the winter and a cat ripped the plastic roof on the greenhouse, so it didn't go too well! Will have to restart it this summer
