Strawberry picking

We went strawberry picking at a farm today and it was so much fun We got two big boxes. Our toddler ate a few on the way round, so we had to clean her up before we paid as she was covered in strawberry juice all over her face

Does anyone else like going picking? It's the first time I've been to this farm, but looking forward to going back again when they have more things to pick

I haven't been since I was a kid, but used to love it No excuse really as there is a strawberry picking farm at the end of our road, so we do hope to make it there sometime next week.

(I am sure they turn a blind eye to red faced toddlers hehe ) xxx

I have never been strawberry picking but I have gone to an apple farm and a peach farm for picking. It was a lot of fun.

What are you going to do with all the strawberries? Just eat them plain or will you be making any jelly?

We will probably eat them plain. That reminds me that I forgot to get some whipped cream when shopping, so we will definitely be eating them plain!

We have two tubs and have just been picking away at them. We will probably give my grandparents some to take home with them tomorrow too

I'm going to freeze some strawberries as I don't think we're going to get through them all in time!

Fresh picked strawberries are always so much better than the store bought kind. They seem much more juicy and sweet. Frozen would be good. Then you'd have them ready to go into a smoothie anytime you want.

How nice of you to share them with your grandparents. I bet they will really enjoy that!
