Should I go back to the hospital?

Firstly, sorry for not being about much this last week! I don't know whether I should go back this weekend. For those that missed my other thread, I picked up a nasty I jury whilst out running last week. At the time, I was told it was either soft tissue damage or a stress fracture somewhere in my pelvis, but that a stress fracture wouldn't show up til it started healing.

They said if it wasn't any better in 10 days to go back - it's 10 days tomorrow. It's better to the extent that I can move it now and can walk on it, but I'm still using a crutch and will need to use 2 for work tomorrow. It's still really achey though and sore if I do too much.

Oddly, it feels like the pain's in my pubic bone and round the back of my bum where bum meets leg. It's like spd pain for those that have had babies! The doctor did say it's possible to fracture your pubic bone

So yea, should I go back and get re-xrayed or should I just get on with it?! I hate to think I might be wasting their time!

It might be safer to go and get it checked out. That's definitely not a good area to have a fracture in. I imagine the pain's pretty awful. Can't hurt to make sure everything's healing the way it should be.

Thanks, have decided to go back on tues. I'm hoping they'll at least sort me some physio, even if it's not fractured!

I am so sorry you are going through this. If I understand anything, it's pain. I live with it everyday. I feel really bad for you.

Yes, you should make sure you go back. I'm glad you already decided to do so. Insist that they find the cause of the pain, be it a fracture or something else, so you can get proper treatment.

Physical therapy may end up being necessary like you mentioned. I wish you all the best of luck in finding out what's going on and getting it resolved.

No, I was going to, but woke up feeling quite good, so didn't bother! Just updated in my journal, but I only used a crutch for the school runs and even went to the shop without it I'm tempted to do the school run without it tomorrow!

It's definitely improving now though, I think resting it as much as I have has really helped! But it must be a lot better cos I ran up the stairs for something earlier I forgot til I got to the top and wondered why it hurt

Going to start a little gentle exercise tomorrow, just toning type stuff, and see how I get on! Considering taking up cycling though before I get back to running!
