Reynaud's

Does anyone here suffer from Reynaud's phenomenon? My husband was just diagnosed with primary Reynaud's and we're looking for ways to manage it. He's been prescribed vasodilators, to be started this weekend in case they make him dizzy. How likely are these to help?

Yea I've got it, although it's never been officially diagnosed! It's in the family though. Tbh mine's not that bad ATM, I don't know why! I try and avoid extreme temperatures, I usually suffer worst when I've been in the car with the heaters on and get out and it's freezing! Windmilling your arms is meant to help get the circulation flowing again, but I usually get it in public and I'd look a bit odd doing it

Thinking about it, it seems to have got better since I lost weight and started exercising! My circulation's always been really bad though, I remember wearing gloves in lessons at school and even now my hands and feet are always cold! I've got uggs on ATM and the heating's on and my feet are still like blocks of ice!

Well he's picked up his meds from the chemist today and has decided against taking them. The list of potential side effects is horrendous, and very scary! So he's going to try and manage it more aggressively instead, and see if he can manage without the medicine.
