How many pounds to a pants size?
I have been stuck in the same pants size for years (18). I've already lost some weight, to the tune of about 12-13 pounds. My pants feel a tick looser but not much. How much more weight do I need to lose before I can expect to get back down to a 16? I'm 5'5" if that helps...

For me, it's usually about half a stone, so about 6-7lb, but I am shorter than you, so it'll change quicker! It depends where you're losing from as well, my most recent weight loss seems to have gone entirely from my boobs and unfortunately you can't target it to certain areas! 12-13lb is amazing though, well done!

For me, it's more like 20-25 pounds before I lose a pants size, but then I am fairly tall. Also, my weight is evenly distributed and it also comes off fairly even, so I have to lose a lot before anyone notices.

This is something that I don't know. I was wondering the same too. For me it's different because I am dieting but I am working out too. I swear I am losing weight - I look it! The numbers aren't coming off the scale. I am gaining muscle though.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Aboutme, you brought up something that I hadn't even considered. I workout too and I lift weights every other day. If I'm gaining muscle as I'm losing weight, that means the numbers may not change that much even though I continue getting smaller. I know I shouldn't rush it but I am just so impatient to drop a pants size!!

My scales moved slower with exercise but the tape measure was going down so it's defo true and while my scales say I'm in the 10 stone bracket my friends have told me to stop so at this weight and into a 10 bottoms I guess it is fair to say the scales aren't the main thing to be watching if exercises frequently?
