Frostbite!

Yesterday when I left for work it was -6 degrees! They said you could be outside for 10 minutes before you would get frostbite. The wind chill was -25 degrees. Kind of puts a damper on outdoor activities!

I can't believe the weather over there. It's like a scene out of the movie 'The Day After Tomorrow' Scrary stuff I can't stand it when it snows let alone when it's too cold for snow :/

Stay safe

Yesterday morning when I woke up it was -9F (-22C) with a wind chill of -41F (-40C). It was so cold in my building I could almost see my breath. The heater just couldn't keep up at those temps.

This morning is much better. We are are 9F (-12C) and the wind chill is -1 (-18C). Still cold, yes, but the heater is working properly now. That makes all the difference in the world.

My car doors are still frozen shut and I probably won't get in until the temps go above freezing (they say tomorrow) and I fully expect the battery to be dead by then. Ugh.

It's properly crazy over there ATM! I saw on the news yesterday that people were being treated for frostbite! It certainly makes me think twice about complaining about it being "freezing" here!

Yup, it was 8 degrees here yesterday. The high was like 25 degrees too! Today, it's going to be a heat wave. Our high is 42 degrees, and I can't wait! I'm going to put my shorts on!

We had very low temps here, too, but nothing below 0F (until you factor in wind chill). We're supposed to be up into the 60's by the weekend, though... I can't believe the extremes we've seen this week!
