We are having the house rewired at the minute as our electrics are unsafe. We have no electric overnight tonight but we do have the TV and Internet. But unfortunately no lights or oven


I'm sat here in the dark with a tiny lamp on, watching Postman Pat with Holly. We've had microwaved peas and ryvitas for dinner!


My hubby is going to pick up McDonald's on the way back from work, yay! I'll be so glad when it's all completed. It's cosy but frustrating!

I am so glad I was born in this era with all the modern conveniences. Can you even imagine what it must have been like to not have any electric or indoor toilets?

That must have been awful. I can't even imagine having to use an outside loo in this weather!

We probably won't have an oven until the end of the weekend but we bought some stuff we can cook on the George Forman grill, so no need to keep having McDonald's now!
