Busted!
We were having a lazy Saturday morning, the kids were playing nicely together, so me and OH were having a little dose (ok, lazy lie in). Next thing we know the doorbell goes, we're like who the hell is that at this time? Opened the door all bleary eyed and it was my dad...and it was 9.15 must have looked like we were being proper lazy parents - I had eye makeup all over my face and the small one had got herself dressed

My mother in law used to do the same thing. It drove me batty. One time she showed up at our house unannounced and we were all sick with a stomach bug. After she went home and got sick herself, she started calling before she came.

Nine o'clock is still early in the morning for a weekend! I wouldn't consider that lazy especially since the kids were quiet and playing nicely. How often do get that chance? Probably not often! Why did your dad pop in so early?

He'd parked on our drive to go to the shops and just wanted to check I didn't need to move my car I hate unannounced callers, just glad he didn't want to come in! I still don't look any more presentable now, worse if anything cos I've done all my housework and am still in my jamas!

I hate people not calling first
9.15 on a Saturday... that's pretty standard in our house to still be chilling LOL.

We don't entertain company well before about noon on the weekends because we usually sleep in past ten and sometimes even sleep in past eleven. I hate it when people just show up unannounced like that!

I hate it when people just turn up unannounced. I'm usually in pyjamas, eating or the house is a mess!

I love to stay in jammies on Saturday morning. It doesn't mean I'm not getting anything done, but I like to clean, make breakfast, snuggle with the kids, etc. before getting showered and dressed. It's just nice not to have to jump out of bed and into clothes, like during the week.

I worked night shift for a while, and during that time, I had two rules: it wasn’t okay to come by unless it was very, very early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and at that, the visitor would have to call first. I haven’t had anyone drop by unannounced in years because of that!
