It is true.
Firstly they contain more oats than would be within your hex B allowance, so the quantity of fibre is also higher.
They also contain dried milk, sugars, etc. to make them into the usual porridge consistency. As you only add water to them, they add flavourings and milk powder to give them the texture/flavour you would expect.
To stick within your B allowances, measure out 40g of plain porridge oats, or use the recommended sachets:
