Help needed with HEXA
Hi all,
I need some help with my Healthy Extra A. Now I like to half my hexa because I can’t do without milk(for my tea) and I can’t do without cheese. I know a lot of people don’t do this as they see it as a tweak. But i’ve been doing it for a while and have had no problems with losing. What’s bothering me is that I don’t think I have been measuring them out correctly, and as much as it’s a ‘tweak’ I don’t want to completely botch it up.
So for those of you who half there healthy extras, could you tell me how much milk and cheese I can have daily if i’m halving then?
I have skimmed milk and 50% reduced fat cheese
Thanks so much!
The reason SW don’t recommend this is because they measure the dairy count in the products and the amounts they’ve stated are to help you receive the recommended amount of calcium each day. Splitting them confuses how much calcium you get, but if you’ve had no issues with losses so far, stick with it. However, if you find your losses changing, look at this in the first instance. Providing you’ve been 100% on plan otherwise that is
Use half of the stated amounts.
If your cheese is cheddar, use 20g, and 175ml milk

Thanks so much. Think i’m trying to get the best of both worlds by splitting my hexa. Think it’s time to start synning one of them so i’m getting the right amount of calcium. Thanks again.
You may find that it's only a couple of syns for the one you syn anyway. 350ml of milk is 6 syns, so 175ml would count as 3 syns
If you don't have very milky brews, you may not even use that much
Am I correct in saying that I am allowed 300ml of the above Soya Milk, I live in Spain. On the front of the carton it is 100% vegetal and it is Bebida de Soja Clasica. Many thanks in advance for your help
Plain, sweetened and calcium enriched - 300ml is a hex a choice.
