Confused about syns

Hi, I'm trying to get to grips with the 'new plan' and whilst I understand how it works, I can't get my head around where to look for syn values. For instance, if I wanted to know the syn value of a two finger Kit Kat or 30g of houmous, where would I look for this information?

I have a copy of the basic plan but do not have an actual SW book, is this where the information would be? I am hoping to do this from home without looking for a class in Cyprus or joining online.

My last SW optimising book is dated 2012 which has syn values included, but these relate to EE, Green and Red days. Help......

Generally yes the Syns would be in the books.
I would look in your SW book as a guide, and use the EE Syns values as SW now only promote Extra Easy. (Red and green were phased out 18 months ago)

With regards to updated syn values, for chocolate, crisps, cakes, sweets, and anything else that contains NO free foods, use the 20 calories per 1 syn rule.
So if something is 45 calories, you would count 2 Syns. But if it is 46 Syns, count 2.5 Syns... Basically round up each time you pass 5 (if that makes sense!)

Oh, and a 2 finger out Kat is 5.5 Syns

And you can always ask on here for a syn value, there's quite a few of us with access to the SW website

Good idea, will remove syns list from old book and start a new file with the new plan. Thanks for your help x
