Tassimo Cadbury's Hot Chocolate
Ladies, does anyone have a tassimo machine? I've been trying to suss out the syns for a cadbury's hot chocolate. The search shows "tassimo cadburys hot chocolate with creamer t-discs" at 6 syns but nowhere can I confirm that is what I have (nowhere on the packaging does it say it comes with creamer, just milk powder). I only use one disc, it's all in one and when I put the nutritional info into the syns calculator which came out at 1 syn. Anyone know if they are the same?

The milk powder is the creamer
Creamer is just a fancy-pants word for milk
Tassimo don't make more than one Cadbury hot chocolate drink so I would stick with the 6 syns as the Syns Online states

It's just peculiar, as none of the others have "With creamer" listed (even the ones that come with separate milk discs) and all contain milk powder etc so thought this may have been based on an older version of the drink.

The creamer is listed with it's own syn value at 2 syns.
Who knows why it is quoted as having the creamer when others aren't, but my suggestions would be that if you can find a syn value under the Syns Online section, don't use the calculator as this can confuse things.

Hmmm it's just peculiar as a friend of mine says hers come with two capsules, one chocolate, one creamer so I have emailed tassimo to ask if they have changed it and how it affects the nutritional information x

How strange! I assumed they all cam e the same way because Tassimo's website only shows one type of Cadbury hot chocolate...
To be on the safe side, I would count 6 syns for it. You're better to over-estimate your syns rather than under.
Also, looking at the Oreo and Milka t-discs, they are very similar in syns (Oreo 5, Milka 6) so I would imagine that it will still be around the same.
Because there is no free food involved in this product, you can also use the 20 calories per 1 syn rule.
On the front of the packet (on the website) it shows that there are 120 calories in each cup of the Cadbury's Hot Chocolate, which would equal 6 syns (120/20 = 6)
As comparison, the Suchard's has 57 calories, which would be 3 syns. And the SW website says 3 syns.
Does that make sense? lol

1 syn per t-disc sounds so odd though...
Normal Cadbury hot chocolate powder is 6 Syns per 28g serving. (1 syn per level teaspoon)
I know you can't exactly measure how much is in a t-disc though
Why is it so confusing?!

It is confusing, part of me thinks you are absolutely right cuz that goes on drink size, and the other half of me is like how can 63calories in the disc become 120 calories with just water added? Also if the powder is worked out at 1syn per level teaspoon and you add as much water (or milk) as you like then how can the amount of drink matter? AHHHHH headache. I think you are right though, I'll treat as 6 and have them more sparingly!

Tassimo Suchard Hot Chocolate
Hi
Anyone know syn value of Tassimo Suchard Hot Chocolate please? I saw the thread for the Cadbury one, but I think the Suchard will be lower than 6 syns (hopefully).
